Fees for this work
A fixed monthly fee based on headcount and expected usage. We will tell you honestly if your business does not have enough employment activity to justify one.
Common questions
What's included?
Day-to-day advice, document reviews and drafting, and guidance through internal processes. Tribunal defence is normally quoted separately, because its cost depends entirely on how the claim develops.
We only have twelve staff. Is it worth it?
Possibly not, and we will say so. Retainers make sense where employment questions arise regularly. If you have one issue a year, ad hoc advice is cheaper and we would rather tell you that than sell you something you do not need.
Can we cancel?
Yes, on notice. We would rather you stayed because it is useful than because you are locked in.
Does it cover the directors as well?
Advice to the business, yes. Where a director has a personal employment dispute with the company, that is a conflict and they would need their own advice — we will flag it immediately if that situation arises.
